My name is Lori DeLibero and this is my forth year teaching preschool at Redeemer Lutheran School! This year, I am excited to be teaching afternoon Kindergarten at the Penn Hills Campus. Additionally, I will be in charge of the after school program. I am very blessed to have three full classes this year; 17 three year olds, 18 four year olds, and 15 PM Kindergartners. Redeemer is like a second family to me and I am so excited to be teaching here again. My three years teaching at Redeemer was a great blessing to me and I expect no less from this year. God has placed me in a wonderful place with amazing Christian teachers to work with who support and care for me both as a teacher and as a person.
I have two teaching degree from Grove City College one in Elementary Education (specializing in English and Social Studies) and the other in Early Childhood Education. Currently, In August I will have a masters degree from Regent University. When finished, I will have a degree in Special Education K-12 and will be certified as an Autistic Specialist. God has blessed me in enabling me to teach and continue learning about my field.
I grew up in rural Sarver, PA about 25 minutes north of Oakmont, but currently live in the city limits. I love living in the city right now and am able to take my bike around the city on nice days. I also enjoy photography, free lance writing, and spending time with family. Some of my family lives around Pittsburgh and I love having them close. I am the third of four children and my older brother lives in Pittsburgh. It is wonderful to be able to live near him and worship at the same church together. My sister, her husband, and little girl live in a bit farther from us. My younger brother lives near them. Aside from Jesus Christ my family is the most important thing in my life. Life has thrown us a few very difficult road blocks this past year but God has shown us his grace and love. One of the reasons I love teaching in a private Christian school is the love and prayer that is shown to each other in difficult times. My family has been shown nothing less this past year from Redeemer. My family is a great source of love and strength for me. I am incredibly blessed to have a close Christ-centered family. I enjoy hearing and learning about my student's families and the different things they do together. I look forward to working with your families and seeing where God takes us this year!
